Unnamed Server Admin Action Matrix

All ban times provided are with the assumption admins have done their due diligence, have evidence collected, and are reasonably sure of the player’s intent. Less is usually more with admin work, try to resolve issues with the warns or kicks if possible before moving onto a ban if indicated. Below is some basic information on when warns and kicks may be used if indicated in the Warn/Kick column of the matrix.

When should I warn? When should I kick?
Warnings are best used when you think talking to the player and asking them to not do the behavior they are currently doing will solve the problem. This is usually the best place to start for both minor behavior and gameplay issues. If the warnings don’t seem to be changing the behavior or the situation has escalated, moving to a kick or a ban is the next step.Kicks are best used when warnings have failed to change the behavior or you need to remove a player from the server quickly. For most players, a kick is basically a short ban from the server and thus kicks should not be used lightly. These are good for major gameplay problems, or to remove a player who is damaging server health quickly without taking the time to set up a full ban.
