COMMUNITY RULES
Our Community Health Standards are important
- The Unnamed holds respect, integrity, equality, and equity in high regard. We reserve the right to take any measures necessary to protect our community, including removing individuals or groups who fail to share these values.
- Our goal is to build a safe, inclusive, and positive gaming environment within our community. There is zero tolerance for any brand of hate speech, toxicity, trolling, bigotry, or discriminatory language. If you experience any behaviour contrary to our values, or have any concerns you would like to discuss, please bring it to our attention via a ticket in our Discord.
- Please note that these rules are not exhaustive, but rather a broad statement of expectations. They may be adjusted or expanded on as needed to align with the specific demands of a particular service and our community. Our admins and moderators at times may exercise discretion, and rulings made in the field stand.
- Be aware that access to our services is a privilege, not a right. Our community is a private space, governed by our rules as well as the Terms of Service of the platforms and services we partner with or provide. We encourage open, respectful discussion, but we do not guarantee unrestricted free speech.
- Every service our community offers is built through the generosity and effort of its members. Our staff are all volunteers, donating their time to make our community a better place. Please remember the human. We will not tolerate abuse directed at staff.
STAR CITIZEN RULES
We reserve the right to take action as necessary to protect our community and organization.
There is zero tolerance for abusive behavior and bigotry in any form. This includes, but is not limited to racism, sexism, ableism (ex: "retard"), homophobia, and transphobia; harassment and bullying; hate speech and Nazism.
This rule applies to everyone equally. Players' race, background, or beliefs do not grant special permissions on our services. Just because you find it acceptable or funny does not mean it will not make others feel unwelcome.
Rule 1 infractions will result in an immediate removal from our organization and ban from our services without warning.
Represent The Unnamed well. Show respect and sportsmanship to other players, and strive for competitive, fun fights.
Hacking, exploiting, or violating the Star Citizen Terms of Service is strictly prohibited and will not be tolerated.
Intentionally harming, attacking, scamming, helping the enemy in any way or griefing any Unnamed member or ally is strictly forbidden.
Dishonesty or misrepresentation, such as falsifying ship losses or repair claims to gain funds from our Organization's bank or subsidy programs, may result in immediate removal.
Unauthorized Sharing of Organization assets, resources, locations (e.g. mineral deposits), or sensitive information outside the Organization is prohibited.
Streaming Star Citizen gameplay while playing with Unnamed members requires adhering to the following:
- Discord Voice communication is not to be broadcasted on your stream unless you have explicit permission from EVERYONE in the channel
- Members Streaming Star Citizen must add the following icons at the front of their name on Discord, as appropriate (when editing your "Server Nickname" click Windows Key + Period to bring up emojis):
- 🎦 for streaming gameplay
- 🔊 when Discord audio is included
- Org. Events/Missions/Ops. will incorporate a "Streaming Permitted: YES/NO/MODIFIED" parameter in the event details, this must be respected; and
- Star Citizen Streamers are advised to unlink their Twitch from their RSI website profiles, this is because rivals can easily find you via bots.
When participating in any Event or Org Operation, you are required to be on voice-communications (Discord or Mumble) and follow the established Chain of Command. Avoid disruptive behavior like hot-micing (unnecessarily queuing up your mic/background noise), spamming and have assigned a Push-to-Talk button to ensure clear communication.
Your Discord or Mumble username must match your in-game name for operational security purposes.
Special Interest Groups
- Special Interest Groups (SIGs) are user-created groups within The Unnamed Community, formed to bring together members who share a common interest, goal, or activity.
- Supported games may have different or more specific rules regarding the creation of groups, talk to the game director for more information.
- If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out in our Discord!
- You can search and join groups that are available to you via SquidHub.
- SIG's are "Special Interest Groups" which are small divisions within a larger division.
- For example, "Moe's Lubricants" will be a division of "Industry"
- For example, "Naz's Speshul Squadron who kith thy enemies in darkness" will be a division of "Navy"
- For example, "Moe's Lubricants" will be a division of "Industry"
- SIG's are designed to bring out interesting gameplay loops, and be directed to do things via the organization.
- SIG's have lots of freedom, as long as they meet the org goals, they are not their own org.
- SIG's can only be approved by Group Managers, you must apply to create your group via SquidHub.
- Only one SIG will exist per functional item.
For example, only one Racing SIG is established.
- There may only be one leader per SIG as per our group system, but you can have as many "Co-Leaders" as desired
- The SIG's can get their own role color and channel, just note that the sig may not be the top option for many members: we would need:
- Hex Code of one color
- Hex codes of 2 colors for gradient
- Hex Code of one color
- We ask that you please consider allowing as many people as you can trust into the SIG, and handle it appropriately, we want all members to have a chance.
- If you are experiencing an issue with a member, within the SIG - whatever it may be. Please contact your group manager or utilize our Disappointed Dads tool via 「🎫」create-a-ticket (Report a UNN. Member), then they will triage and designate.
- Please do not create silos with SIGs, we want all members to have a chance to engage and play games with each other, unless operationally restricted
- When creating a SIG, ask yourself these three things before submitting an application
- What would your SIGs Mission Statement be?
- How can this SIG thrive in the Unnamed?
- Does it follow all the rules and guidelines?
- SIG roles are reserved for full Unnamed Members, this doesn't mean that new recruits or community members can not join on gameplay.
- Creation of SIG must follow all ToS with games developers and its beneficiary's
- Guidelines must stay within the scope of all Unnamed Organization rules.
SQUAD RULES
- All servers share the same basic rule set.
- Modded servers may have additional rules particular to the specific mod.
- If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out in our Discord!
- You can search for our servers via "Unnamed" in the Squad Browser.
Admin rulings in-game stand. We are happy to discuss any concerns in our discord.
All licensed Squad servers are obligated to uphold the Squad Code of Conduct and adhere to the License Server Policies as laid out by Offworld Industries. For information regarding bans on shared lists, please read the Community Ban FAQ.
We are partners of the Squad Community Ban List and Squad Guardian. Serious offenses may impact your reputation with participating communities.
We reserve the right to remove players as necessary to protect the health of our community.
Rule 1 infractions will result in an immediate ban from our services without warning.
In-game channels are for gameplay discussion only. Administrative actions and policies are not to be discussed in-game. Admins may clear chat channels and remove individuals using them in a disruptive manner.
The experience of all players should be respected. Streamers should use a delay or map cover when possible. Please refrain from advertising without prior permission on our servers or impersonating members, admins, or developers.
All players should strive for competitive, fun matches. While the server does have auto-balancing enabled, we reserve the right to make manual squad adjustments should we see the need. We ask you keep server health in mind while using our services.
Players should actively attempt to contribute to the team effort. You can contribute to your team by attacking or defending, running supplies, destroying enemy objectives such as radios, hunting artillery pieces or fobs, supply line disruption or scouting. If you are unsure if you are actively contributing to your team, you’re probably not.
Hindering, trolling, or griefing players or your team is not allowed. This includes teamkilling, destroying friendly assets, or keeping assets intentionally out of play for extended periods of time.
You must acknowledge in game chat when you team kill. Intentional team killing is not tolerated on our servers.
Ghosting and Teaming are prohibited. Do not share tactical information with the opposing team.
Cheating, Hacking, and Exploiting are prohibited.
Squads
Squad Leaders must have a mic and communicate in English. SLs are expected to actively lead their Squads and contribute to the team.
Do not create a squad you do not intend to lead. Squad Baiting or passing Squad Lead without prior consent is not permitted. If you make a squad by mistake, disband the squad.
No locked squads under 4 players, unless with an armor claim or if they are actively contributing to the team via a task such as mortars or logistics.
Assets
All Unnamed servers are considered name claim. Squad names should be exact or very similar name to the asset in the in-game vehicle list to be valid. Any vehicle requiring squad leader approval may be name claimed, excepting logis as they are considered team assets.
First squad named after the asset has the asset. Command squad forfeits any claims. One vehicle claim per squad.
Claims extend to respawn order. Wait for your vehicle to respawn; do not take another that respawned first without permission.
Names that do not specify a vehicle- such as "Armor, MBT, or Tank"- do not get claim. Vehicle nicknames such as "Brad, Chally, or Warrior" are also not valid claims as they do not match the in-game list.
Claimed assets should be used in a timely manner. You are expected to be ready at main when your asset spawns. Claims left in main for extended periods may be invalidated by admins.
You cannot solo vehicles that require crewman kits, you must have 2 crewman in the vehicle before leaving main. If you have lost a crew member, return to the nearest spawn and regroup when safe to do so.
All players claiming helicopters must be able to effectively pilot that vehicle. If you are unable to, your squad may be renamed and you’ll be asked to no longer pilot on our servers.
Main Camping Rule
No approaching or engaging within one FOB radius of the enemy main. This includes attacking enemy assets within the radius, or being physically within the radius. No benefit of the doubt will be given to players engaging near the enemy main!
Enemies can shoot you from within, but then forfeit their protection from you. You may ONLY engage the source of fire. If you kill a vehicle that is not the source of fire, you will be punished for main camping.
Main Camping rules are adjusted on some layers due to choke points. On Sanxian and Harju layers with a single exit by bridge, the protected main zone will be extended by a second FOB radius centered on the end of the choke point.
This rule is relaxed if entering the radius is necessary to contest the active objective (ex: some first or last objectives).
Indirect fire must launch from beyond a FOB radius of their main base.
